Congratulations, soon you will be enjoying the comfort and beauty of a
natural floor. Let's face it though, you want them done right. Choosing
an installer can be almost as challenging as finding a reliable auto mechanic.
Unlike your mechanic, you'll be entrusting more than your car to his hands.
You will be opening your home and your life to them, of course you will
look for the obvious things like; is he a member of the local Home Builders
Association, or National Wood Flooring Association, and if he has a good
reputation or not. Don't be afraid to ask for references, it's your floor
after all. Personality and craftsmanship can go hand in hand, Take the
time to ask a few questions of your installer. Are you insured? What would
be the work schedule at my home? What about dust? Does he seem like the
kind of person you feel comfortable with letting work in your home?
Madera Floors is fully insured. We will treat you property as our own. The
size of jobs we do vary, from as little as 60 square feet to 2500 square
feet. Typically Madera Floors can install most floors in 1, maybe 1½
days, sanding and first coat on the next, and subsequent coats the following
days. Most jobs can be completed in in 5 to 10 days. We like to allow a full 24-36 hours between coats to assure proper
adhesion. We realize what an inconvenience "staying off " a floor can be
and are happy to try accommodating your needs.
